| Media Estimated Dollar Value of Advertising Receipts and Sponsorship Received by Television, Radio and Magazine Media in Clinton County for Calendar Years 1994, 1996
Overall,
advertising and sponsorship revenues reported in 1998 by television,
radio, and magazine media were down 42% from 1996. Revenues from Canadian
individuals and Canadian-owned business not in Clinton County have
decreased significantly (44%) from 1996 to 1998, accounting for most of
the overall decline. Revenue from Canadian-owned businesses, International
Border Businesses, and Border-related Agencies in Clinton County have
increased by a magnitude of 13 from 1996 to 1998, but still only make up
3.7% of total revenues for 1998. Of
the nine firms that responded in 1998, seven had responded in 1996. These
seven firms represent over 99% of all business conducted with
Canadian-owned businesses, International border businesses, and Public
border-related agencies in 1996 and 96% of business reported in 1998 .
These seven firms report a 45% decrease in estimated dollar value of
business conducted with Canadian-owned businesses, International border
businesses, and Public
