QUEBEC-NEW YORK AEROSPACE/TRANSPORTATION
RENDEZVOUS SET FOR MAY 31st
The North Country Chamber of Commerce and Aero Montreal have announced that the first ever "QUEBEC-NEW YORK AEROSPACE/TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT RENDEZVOUS" will take place on Friday, May 31st from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Plattsburgh, New York. The event is being hosted by NAmTrans, the North American Center of Excellence for Transportation Equipment, which connects and supports the cluster of more than 50 transportation equipment and aerospace manufacturers in northern New York, and enjoys a Cooperation Agreement with Aero Montreal, the aerospace cluster organization in Quebec.
Other cooperating partners include Propulsion Quebec, the Aerospace Association of Upstate New York, the Center for Economic Growth, CITEC, the Quebec Ground Transportation Cluster and the Delegation General of Quebec. Key funding support is provided by State Senator Betty Little and Assemblyman Billy Jones and from sponsors TD Bank, the Development Corporation and CDC Real Estate/Immigration.
The day will unite leaders of aerospace and transportation equipment organizations in New York and Quebec for the first time, furthering the aim of a synergistic bi-national cluster. Companies involved in aerospace and transportation equipment will enjoy structured B2B opportunities as well as orientations on key sectoral organizations and their services and sessions on such topics as the Growing Impact of Additive Manufacturing, the Greening of Transportation, Exporting Support and Making Sure the U.S.-Canada Border Works for You.
The luncheon will feature a keynote address by U.S. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and a representative of the Quebec Government to be confirmed. The afternoon will offer an opportunity for participants to visit and tour Norsk Titanium in Plattsburgh.
