CHAMBER ADDS CORONAVIRUS RESOURCE PAGE TO WEBSITE FOR EMPLOYERS AND EMPLOYEES
Plattsburgh, NY - The North Country Chamber of Commerce has added a "Coronavirus Information and Resources" page to its website at www.northcountrychamber.com. "As this health issue continues to evolve, with new information almost daily, our employers are seeking up to date information and guidance," states Garry Douglas, Chamber President. "This new resource page offers quick links to a number of websites which will have updated information, helping businesses to navigate employees' questions, write appropriate guidelines and stay on top of a changing situation."
Sections on the page include:
Key CDC (Center for Disease Control) Resources
National, State and County Resources
General Planning and Preparation for Employers
There are also printable signs, in both English and French, that area employers can post to remind both employees and customers of the importance of hand washing.
The Chamber notes that most of the linked websites are being regularly updated, making the resource page useful for occasional visitation by employers as well as any concerned employees. In addition, the Chamber expects to add further useful links as they come to the Chamber's attention. "Good information," states Douglas, "is the best way to encourage appropriate action while avoiding over reaction, which is why we thought this page at this time would be a useful service to many member businesses and organizations." The Chamber has distributed information on the website page to all of its members and partner members in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton and northern Warren Counties and Akwesasne.
