Managing leave requirements is becoming more and more complicated, as the right of employees to take time away from work expands through various laws.
 
This presentation will help attendees:
  • Recognize and analyze the interactions between the ADA, FMLA and Worker’s Compensation;
  • Recognize important areas where the three laws intersect;
  • Manage employee absenteeism;
  • Understand the legal framework and risks involved for getting it wrong.

Speakers: Jacqueline M. Kelleher, Esq. 

Ms. Kelleher is a member of Stafford, Owens, Piller, Murnane, Kelleher & Trombley, PLLC who advises businesses, not for profit and public entities on various legal matters including labor and employment matters, contracts and litigation. Ms. Kelleher advises clients regarding state and federal employment law, public employment, labor relations and collective bargaining, hiring, separation, workplace investigations and many other areas of employment law. She is the attorney for a number of local school Districts, advising on a wide range of issues.

Ms. Kelleher has a broad legal background in business, labor and employment issues and has represented a diverse range of clients before regulatory agencies and state and federal courts.

Ms. Kelleher frequently provides training on legal issues relating to employment including leave time, wage and hour issues, employee performance and discipline, state and federal laws and other related matters. She is a columnist with STRICTLY BUSINESS, writing about current legal issues.

In addition, Jacqueline M. Kelleher has provided training regarding workplace harassment and discrimination and management of public employees, including counseling and discipline, to numerous clients, including both public and private employers.
