This awareness training sessions will educate the students on all the necessary elements of a written hazard communication program with specific attention to the Global Harmonization System (GHS) requirements for on-site labeling systems, chemical identity, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) familiarity and training.
Instructor: John L. Favreau, CHA Consulting, Inc.
Mr. Favreau is currently a Senior Scientist with CHA Consulting, Inc. in Albany, New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has over 20 years of diverse experience in environmental consulting, including site assessment, remediation, regulatory compliance and hazardous materials management. Working with multiple consulting firms during his career, Mr. Favreau has gained extensive experience in the areas of environmental due diligence assessments of commercial and industrial properties, and soil and groundwater investigation/remediation of contaminated sites. In addition, he has been involved in many aspects of environmental contracting work, including remedial system installation, hazardous waste disposal and emergency spill response, and has provided training on various topics under OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) regulations.
